    AAHHH,

Earlier today, I published a blog. I am on my subscriber list, and I noticed that the link that got sent for the blog didn’t work. The original permalink wouldn’t open, and i got a redirect loop problem. When I posted my blog on Facebook, that link worked, but it had a “/%20” added in the permalink.

While researching this problem, trying to fix it, I went to my host (Bluehost), and there was a wordpress 3.1 plus jetpack update. I KNOW I’m supposed to deactivate the plugins, and do a backup first. Which I always do. Today, however, I was in such a hurry to fix the permalink that got sent out, that I hit update.

NOW, my website doesn’t work. It looks the same, but all the pages, posts…everything, won’t open. It stays on the homepage only.

Did I just trash my website? I don’t really know computer lingo very well. A bit of a novice (obviously). Please, someone, help!

    Thank you

Can you log in to wp-admin and deactivate your plugins? If you can and that doesn’t help, you could try activating the 2010 theme. If the site content shows up, you know it is a theme problem.

This way will let you narrow down where the problem is.

If you can’t login and turn off the plugins, connect via FTP and rename plugins to plugins-old.

I am able to log on. I tried deactivating and reactivating plugins before. It didn’t change anything. I’m looking into the 2010 theme activation. It looks like it’s already activated?!

OK, so I tried another theme. Same problem. Any other ideas?
    Thanks!!

OK, so I finally figured it out. I didn’t check each plugin to see what was the problem, until now. When I was having the redirect loop issue, I installed the Permalink Fix & Disable Canonical Redirects Pack Plugin (and forgot I had). That was the problem.
    Thanks all!
