[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] [Plugin NexGEN Gallery] Help me with carousel gallery displays (I think??)
-
I have searched the documentation at https://nextgen-gallery.com/, searched this forum, and still can’t figure out how to do what I’m trying to do… ANYONE who has their site set up like this please help, I’d be SO grateful.
What I am trying to do is basic functionality. When someone clicks on the navigation item GALLERIES they are taken to a page that displays 10 thumbnails, each thumbnail will correspond to each of 10 separate galleries. Above or under the thumbnail will be the title of the actual gallery (nature, fashion, landscapes, etc.)
THEN, when you click on one of those thumbnails, you’ll be taken to the gallery page which should display in what NextGen calls Carousel view: photo at top, with the filmstrip type thumbs of the remainder of the photos below it.
I was able to achieve the thumbnail page using an ALBUM in COMPACT view, but when the thumbnail is clicked, it defaults to the picture list… I cannot figure out how to make the page that opens be in the carousel view. I COULD create my own “thumbnail” page instead of using NextGen’s album to do it, but I’m concerned about my client being able to figure out how to update the page if she’d have to add her own thumbnails as she adds galleries.
Any help would be so, so very appreciated. Thanks!
