• Greetings,
I discovered that my website was down because of the following issue:
Fatal error: Call to a member function add_rewrite_tag() on a non-object in /home/thel3787/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php on line 289

I tried logging in to my dashboard, but my username and password did not work.

    Please advise. Thanks.

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to try logging into your site to get this to kick in fully.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.

Thanks, but I cannot even log-in to my account. It won’t accept my username and password.

Please re-read the suggestions I gave above. You don’t need to login.
