Missing email showing up months later

    Many months ago I noticed I did not receive emails every time I should have when someone left a comment or a comment needed to be moderated. Last night the missing emails started to show up in my email inbox. Over 200 so far and they are still coming!

    Other things that were missing and are now showing up: Some of the daily database backup emails and contacts from readers using the clean-contact plug-in.

    I heard from one reader today that she got 30 emails from my blog showing up in her email as well!

    Can anyone tell me anything about this? Why it happened? Why things are suddenly showing up? How to stop it? How to keep it from happening again?

    Did your hosting company recently unclog one of their tubes? It’s possible they’ve been sitting in some SMTP queue somewhere and just recently got pushed out.

    Thanks for you post. I called them and it does seem that the issue had something to do with them and not WP. But maybe the combo of the recent 3.1 upgrade got things moving, so to speak.
