How to wrap an image with a link to the next post (if there is one)?

  • I am working on a webcomic theme to share. Readers have repeatedly requested that, in addition to normal previous/next navigation, the comic image itself link to the next comic (post) in the timeline. But for the life of me, I can’t figure out how to get that URL and wrap it around the comic page (provided there IS a next post–if there isn’t, there should be no link).

    I’m using post images to associate and display the comic image with the post.

    I’ve been looking all over. Any assistance would be of great help!
