P2 Members

  • Is it possible for new members to sign in and write posts on the home page without going into the dashboard area.

    I have looked and I dont think it is but live in hope.

    So you want to have some sort of anonymous posting ability? Kind of playing with fire? ??

    I might add that in a new version of P2 Reloaded. I’ll talk to my developer and see if it’s possible.

    Here’s a work around, sort of, add the “Login with Ajax” widget/plugin so it makes it very easy for anyone to register. It’s not as straight forward as being able to post without credentials.

    This would be nice since. When I got the theme I thought it would allow people to create posts almost the same way as creating comments… and those posts would be moderated in by an admin, almost like a forum.

    Login with Ajax is a nice plugin saves too much work, is there a way to help users fill in their name and stuff through a custom page instead of WP dashboard? to have like a profile page they can edit they details through.

    search for ‘theme my login’ in plugins here. It will allow people to register and go to a front end profile page. No dashboard needed (back end)
