• I have a problem on a WP site where the images of all the posts are no longer visible. The problem just came up.

    To trouble shoot, I right mouse and try to view a sample image directly by going to the full path such as blog.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/photo.jpg.

    I then get the following message:

    <Error>
    AllAccessDisabled
    <Message>All access to this object has been disabled</Message>
    <RequestId>5731462B67C30C63</RequestId>
    ?<HostId>
    WTjBS/vPMcalRa+Z1wxOBkPnMMVKKrDTZFnCgyChUti45G9aaQVQjk7bRCOKAZbP
    </HostId>
    </Error>

    Furthermore, I log into the dashboard as administrator and the problem remains. So it is not an access thing.

    Any ideas on solving this?

  • Go to the front of your page. Right click. Click on “view page info”. Click on media. Un-check the block images section. That should do it. I did this just now and I am so happy because I thought I killed my website.
    Good Luck!

    No. That did not do it. It seems that your suggestion is more
    browser related. All my users are reporting this problem.

    I think this is a WP specific issue.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Did you make a change (such as adding a new plugin or similar)? If so that have caused problems. Otherwise it sounds like a server/permissions issue.

    I have actually come in cold to this problem and the real admin is away. I have no history and no activity log.

    My gut feeling is that you are right about the server permissions thing because when I log in as administrator to the dashboard and inspect the image file I recieve the same error as reported originally.

    As for your plugin suggestion. I don’t know what plugins have been installed lately but what about if I deactivate and reactivate the whole lot?

    Thanks for your interest.

    You’re seeing an error message from a Facebook object. Has nothing to do with WordPress or your web server. Disable the plugin that may be pulling the FB content, or delete the offending code from the offending post.

    You’re going to have to do a little Sherlocking here to pinpoint where the trouble actually is.

    Are you saying that one FB plugin can squash ALL post images whether they have any relation to FB or not?

    I tried a simple test where I added a post with an image. The result was the same error as described in the original post of this thread.

    You are right about Sherlock. Where is Watson?
