WP Audio not working in Internet Explorer

I’ve installed the wpaudio plugin and it’s working on all my browsers except IE7 & IE8. In those it reverts to a simple link and the audio opens on another page. Is there any hack to fix this? I checked by going to wpaudio.com with the same effect so it’s eiher the way it’s supposed to be or the settings on my machine.
