    Hello and please help!!
    I had my blog working fine til I allowed a domain that I wanted to no longer use with wp expire. I wanted to have my domain change to be a different domain more suited to my business. I checked with domain company that originally had the domain that I wanted to let go of and they told me that because I allowed my original domain to expire that I would most likely have to uninstall and re-install WP. At this point I cannot even get into my blog. I can only see it and am not able to loin anywhere. I also have a prophoto theme installed and am unsure if I will loose all my blog info and photos. I just wanted to switch domains and usernames to not longer reflect my involvement with my ex-business partner as I am going solo. I now know that I should have done all the switching before I let the first domain expire. I really need help in getting this new domain attached to my wp blog. My question is how do I get all this sorted out and working again? I tried logging in under my username and it says it doesn’t exsist. I really need help here….please….! I’m not sure how to even do an uninstall and re-install either…

    1. Make a backup of your old site’s database.

    I can’t even seem to be able to get logged in to my blog.

    Do you have a recent database backup?

    Apparently I do as per Go Daddy. They helped me do a recent update through their site…but where it is I don’t know.

    With the expiry of my first domain everything is not working. I can see the blag but have no idea where to sign in…

    Then contact your hosts and ensure that you get a copy. Since you’ve allowed the domain name to expire, there’s nothing much we can do to help at this stage. It’s a hosting issue – not a WordPress one.
