• Hi,

Could anyone help me place social/sharing icons (with links) in my navigation bar?

My site is https://www.marketingpost.info. At the moment I have an RSS icon but no idea how to put a link behind it (I would like to delete the text on the left ‘Subscribe to RSS’).

I would like to have the icons/ links look like this –
https://crooksandliars.com/ – where the facebook, twitter etc. links are lined up neatly on the right hand side.

I have the icons already, no idea on the coding!

Would be really appreciated if you could keep any instructions super-simple, I only started my wordpress learning on Friday but have enjoying the basic coding I’ve done to date!

    Thanks,
    Rob

  • You may want to try the plugin ‘social media widget’. It’s an easy widget to use if you new to wordpress. It’s also pretty modifiable and has an extensive list of social links to pick from.

The only drawback in your case is that it would be above the search box in your sidebar rather than directly in your navigation bar.

Here’s an example of what it looks like in use
(we created custom icons for it)

Thanks, just tried that and it’s very similar to another widget I had found before. Because of space (and looks ?? I’m really keen to try and link them on the navigation bar… is it very difficult?
