Remove /category/ from permalinks

use “Custom” and input
/%postname%/

That only affects the post permalink, the /category/ still shows up here in the url: https://bit.ly/bYiBKi

On the permalink settings page I use https://domain.com/%page name% in the
“custom” field and that should do what you’re trying to do. Good luck!
