• It’s too bad I must ask the Forum this BASIC question, but WP Docs doesn’t address my question, or if so, doesn’t provide it in Search results among the Docs … Sigh

Have been going through this very nice series of video tutorials, demonstrating WP 2.x:
    https://blog.themeforest.net/screencasts/new-wp-video-series-and-free-rockstar-book/

Vid #3 in the series shows how to create first set of template files for a NEW THEME CREATED FROM SCRATCH (I’m relatively technical, but new to WP):
    https://blog.themeforest.net/wordpress/wordpress-for-designers-day-3/

I followed these instructions, but after adding only a minimal style.css and index.php, WP 3.x doesn’t recognize the new theme as “available”. So I can’t activate it for further development. This Dashboard seems to be different in WP 3.x versus 2.x. Sigh.

    My question:
    1) How to trigger WP Dashboard to show my new set of theme files as “available” to activate?
