[Plugin: SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF)] CONTACT FORM DOESN'T WORK

I did the following things:

1. Open smcf.php in my the simplemodal folder in my computer.

2. I added at the end of the file:

add_filter(‘wp_list_pages’, array($smcf, “page_menu_list”));

Add:
add_filter(‘wp_nav_menu_items’, array($smcf, “page_menu_list”));

4. I saved it in my hosting > plugins > simplemodal

3. on my Appearance > Menus page, but something rare appear, please look at the link:

Right below:
add_filter('wp_list_pages', array($smcf, "page_menu_list"));

You should be adding:
add_filter('wp_nav_menu_items', array($smcf, "page_menu_list"));

So that section of code would end up looking like:

// Look for a contact link in the page menus/list
add_filter('wp_page_menu', array($smcf, "page_menu_list"));
add_filter('wp_list_pages', array($smcf, "page_menu_list"));
add_filter('wp_nav_menu_items', array($smcf, "page_menu_list"));

It appears that you put that code at the end of the file, which would explain the issue you are seeing.

In looking at your screenshot, the fix I mentioned may not even resolve your issue.

If it doesn’t, try this:

On the Menus page, click the ‘Screen Options’ link on the top right. In the “drop down”, select ‘CSS Classes’ under ‘Show advanced menu properties’.

Now, for the link you want to use to trigger SimpleModal Contact Form, enter smcf-link under ‘CSS Classes (optional)’.

Now the menu should trigger SimpleModal Contact Form when clicked!

I really want to have your plugin in my website but I’m really confused, the reality I’m not an expert. so, please explain to me step by step.

so, I’m going to start again.

– My wordpress version is 3.0.4

– My theme is widescreen of graphpaper

– My simplemodal contactform version is 1.2.5

I deleted the smcf.php and put the origina file which came with the plugin without change anything

so, I’ve done the following:

1. I “Activate” the “SimpleModal Contact Form (SMCF)” (worpress – plugins – add new – SimpleModal Contact Form – active)

1. I set the desired options (Admin Dashboard > Settings > SimpleModal Contact Form)

2. I created a new page called: Contact and paste this code inside:
contact

But it does not work! :S

3. I DON’T KNOW HOW CAN ENABLE ON MY WEBSITE SMCF.

You don’t need the contact page. The following should get it working:

1. On the Menus screen, click the ‘Screen Options’ link on the top right. In the “drop down”, select ‘CSS Classes’ under ‘Show advanced menu properties’.
2. Now, for the link you want to use to trigger SimpleModal Contact Form, (Contacto) enter smcf-link under ‘CSS Classes (optional)’.
3. That Menu item should trigger SimpleModal Contact Form when clicked!

I know it’s easy for you, but for me it’s difficult.

1. If I don’t need the contact page… I decided to delete it.

2. I already found the ‘CSS Classes’ under ‘Show advanced menu properties’

3. I saw in the menu of the simple modal contactform a link: Contact Link URL: https://martagaviria.com/index.php/contact/

On the screen shot you are showing, “open” the Contacto section (click the down arrow) and enter smcf-link under ‘CSS Classes (optional)’.

GREAT!!!!! ?? ?? Now the contact form it’s showing up, but it’s not working, because I fliied the form and I hava not got any email from my web site.

From the FAQ:

Make sure PHP’s mail() is installed and working. (You can also open smcf_data.php and remove the @ from @mail. That will echo out any errors that it throws while trying to send mail.)

If that does not expose any issues, check your spam folder. If you still can’t find the email, check with your server host.

I added to “style.css” the following code but it didn’t change:

in this website, where can i change the colours and typography of the SimpleModal Contact Form?
