[Plugin: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin] Exempt List

  • YARPP really needs an exemption list for posts that should not have a list of related posts attached to them.
    Found this out the hard way when the top related post sensitive article about a sex offender was an article looking for a child minder. ??

    Why not use a category or tag to remove those posts from “the pool”? This functionality is built into YARPP.

    I need exactly the same thing.

    I was wondering whether you could possibly add the ability to disable the ‘Related Posts’ from showing up for individual posts or pages. Maybe a shortcode such as [noyarpp]? This would be really useful, especially on certain posts/pages where related posts are not relevant or appropriate.

    @secgen you could do this with a custom template, checking that that kind of flag was hit within the content of the post. This could perhaps be a nice plugin, even.

    That seems to overcomplicate a fairly simple problem.

    Add2Any has a similar option to add a shortcode to a post/page, that prevents the share links from being displayed. Doesn’t require any custom templating or other plugins.
