• I just tried to upgrade my wordpress on my website to 3.0.5 and was given this error message

Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error–end of buffer missed in /home/ace2279/edwardscoaching.com/wp-includes/link-template.php on line 288

Now my site isnt live and if you type my address all you get is this error message

How do I fix this and get my site back up and running?

  • There is a bug in the new version. Read through the troubleshooting forum for some fix ideas.

Thanks Dragonc – problem is I cant access my site period. No site, no wordpress dashboard nothing all I get is the error message

There are some ideas for a fix in that forum – it solved my problem which entailed renaming the plugin folder (via FTP or Cpanel) to something else, which then allowed the site and admin to load. I then was able to login, but all plugins were disabled. What I then did may not suit you. I Reverted to the previous version, re-named my plugin folder and re-activated my plugins.
I won’t be upgrading again until the next version comes out.
