Facebook "automatic recommend" plugin?

  • I have a question/gripe about someone else’s blog, not mine, and want to know if this is a WordPress issue or a Facebook issue. I’ve noticed that one of the blogs I subscribe to has a “Facebook recommend” button at the top of each post, but at the bottom of the post is a similar button, except that it ALWAYS says I’ve already recommended the post to my Facebook friends when I haven’t. It shows my Facebook avatar along with all the other people who supposedly recommend the article.
    Question: is this a WordPress plugin that I can request this blogger to remove, or is it something Facebook forces on the blogs who link to Facebook (and my complaint should go to Facebook)?

    It’s probably a plugin. Ask the blog runner what plugin they’re using for that and we can probably sort out what’s up. It MAY be like the one on this site, which is a ‘like’ for WordPress itself, versus an individual blog.
