[Plugin: WordPress SEO by Yoast] Call to undefined function gzencode() when creating sitemap

  • Hi,

    After creating the xml sitemap i get the confirmation of whats been created in the sitemap i.e number of post found but then i receive the following error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function gzencode() in /var/www/mydomain.com/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/sitemaps/xml-sitemap-base-class.php on line 37

    any suggestions?

    i am using wordpress v3.0.4, php v5.3.5 and plugin v0.2.1
