trouble uploading media file

  • Hello-
    I have attempted to upload an audio file to the media library and then insert it into a post.

    The file is a Windows Audio Media File.

    It has uploaded properly to the library, but doesn’t insert into the post. It appears only as text in the posting.

    Do you have any suggestions? Are there only certain types of media files that can be inserted in a post?

  • I think you’ll find that text is a link to the file. If you want to play the file on the site, you’ll need to look for a suitable player plugin.
