Replacing Main Site URL with ../ in Compose New Post

    Problem Description:

    Suppose site URL is https://www.xyz.com/

    If I’m composing a new post and copy another topic URL from one of my website page into post composing text box, it replaces the prefix URL https://www.xyz.com/ with ../

    So if the topic URL was https://www.xyz.com/yet-another-topic, the wordpress saves the new post with content as ../yet-another-topic

    It happens sometimes and sometimes doesnt happen. Can anyone please explain the reason behind it so that I can prevent it from happening?

    Its really bugging me. Whenever I copy any topic URL from my website page in post compose area, the first main site URL https://www.xyz.com/ is replaced with ../

    It creates problems sometimes when users get 404 not found error for those links.

    Any kind of help or reply would be highly appreciated. ??

    Have a client with the exact same problem but I’ve not been able to replicate it. Did you find an answer?
