[Plugin: WordPress Login Redirect] Subscribers can't view their profile or dashboard.

    Hello,
    Used the plugin for quite a while until testing out a subscriver account.
    As the title suggests, they are unable to click on profile or dashboard, this is with the sidebar plugin, but it worked fine before the update.

  • yeah i agree, i also wanted to forward my users to the main page at login and then give them a choice (with a link) to go to their dashboard or profile if they chose to from there.

    this plugin does what it sais it takes them to the home page after login but the down side is that it totally blocks them from access to the dashboard or profile as an option.

    there needs to be a way to do both, take them to the home page after login and then allow them to go to their dashboard or profile afterwards… isnt there an if (login) they can use as a switch in the code.

    The plugin was designed for a very specific goal in mind, that was to override a subscribers ability to see the backend entirely. However I appreciate what you’re asking for.

    I’ve updated the plugin (version 1.1.0) to include a new setting which will allow you to direct users to their profile page instead of back to the homepage. Please keep in mind, it’s an either/or at the moment.

    By default users are directed to your homepage.
    If they can see their profiles, they are directed to their profiles.

    If there’s support for this plugin, I’d love to add more features to it as time goes on.
