.com and .org for wordpress – backups

  • I can only have one site on my hosting with Godaddy, but the problem is I want to test a backup to see if my back ups work.

    Is it possible to use .com to test a backup? How do you guys test a backup?

    I’m just really confused with everything as there’s more than one way to backup. Which doesn’t make sense. All I want to do is somehow download the entire database with everything then if I lose it just reupload the last saved backup.

    You can import an .xml file to a wordpress com site nut not a full .sql dumop.

    How do you guys test a backup?

    You could try restoring the backup into a local WP install.
