ie problems related to errors?

I’m trying to figure out if this site’s (naminori760.com) problems in ie are related to validation errors.

The site works fine in Firefox.
Problems in ie:
-navigation bar disappears
-all links open in new window (should open in same instance)
-posts show in a very narrow right aligned column
-background image doesn’t stretch to full screen
