Remove HOME Link

  • Hi . I purchased a Grande Theme .Iam new to WordPress.
    In the menu a default ‘HOME’ tab is appearing. I want to hide that since its not highlighting.I added one more link as static HOME link.Please help me

    I’m new too, but I think I figured this out correctly. You need to make a custom navigation under Appearance > Menus. And under my theme options, there is an area that says Main Navigation with choices for Display Categories, Display Pages, Display Both or Custom. Select Custom and then from the drop-down, choose the Custom Menu you created. I didn’t choose a Home link in my custom Nav, so that worked for me. Hope that helps!? Good luck.

    The default Twenty Ten theme (that comes with WP 3) supports custom menus where you add in only the items you want. You can check in Admin – Appearance – Menus if your theme supports custom menu or not. If it does, you can add/change/delete menu-item there. If not, then you need to do some searching in your theme’s template to find the code. If interested, here is a tutorial on setting up a custom menu in your theme.
