    Hi

    I understand that this has been resolved however I am having problems.

    I have a couple of multisites installed with WordPress and have mixed results with getting the WordPress iPhone App to work with my different sites

    I am working with for all
    * WordPress 3.0.4
    * WordPress iPhone App 2.6.4

    I can confirm that all sites on all multisites have been enabled for Remote publishing using XML-RPC (atom is not)

    My first multiste is fairly standard and works fine.

    My second is the one with the problem. I am not sure but this is a private multisite only accessible to users for both reading, writing and commenting. Could this be a factor in why the iphone app isn’t working? The strange thing is before this was moved to a multisite this same configuration worked with a single wordpress installation.

    I am using the plugin Private WP.

    What happens is the field XML-RPC appears after i have typed in the URL and after I fill in the username and password (leaving XML-RPC field blank) and hit Add Blog it just comes up with Authenticating and Adding Blog and doesn’t change.

    Another strange thing is that the iPhone App Blogpress works for all of the sites. The only problem is that this is a paid app and most of my users have the WordPress (free) app.

    Ipstenu … I apologise if I created additional work for the support team. I was alittle confused by the number of posts and conflicting information on this topic.

    Yeah, the multiple posts is actually why you should make your own ?? If a post hasn’t been updated in months AND people are saying it’s resolved, it’s time for a new one, generally.

    That very well could be. Try disabling the Private WP plugin JUST for a test.

    Thanks for the suggestion. I will do that next time with the support forum.

    I turned off the Private WP and it allowed me to set it up no problems and then just for testing purposes I turned it back on and tried to publish a post and it worked.

    So it must be a problem that comes about somehow with Private WP with Multisites and using the WordPress iPhone App.

    I have tried a new security plugin – Private! WordPress Access Control Manager. It looks amazing but it appears to have the same problem. I think it might relate to the fact that when you go to the URL it auto-redirects to a login page. (first thoughts)

    I think I need to get a better understanding of the XML-RPC field. This maybe the key.

    When I get this to work I will make sure that this is updated.

    Yeah!!! Got it to work. Thank you for your help

    To solve this you … You need to enter the URL for the XMLRPC file on the multisite For most users, the location of this file should be in your root directory.

    So, you should be entering the following: https://www.yoursitesname.com/xmlrpc.php.

    It now works!!
