• Hi, I’m taking over where someone left off on a friends site, https://susanmaushart.com

I need to change the header image, and for some reason I seem to running into a great deal of trouble. I feel like I may be complicating things.

Under the Header Image tab I am being told that all images are located at /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/

How do I access this location to remove and add the images I want?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do I need an FTP client to access this location?

(Sorry, forgot to add this in above post)

    Which theme are you using?

You can ftp the images to your server. Or upload to your media library and pick it from there. You will either have to rename your image the same as the original so it will overwrite it or edit the page to reflect your own file name.

If you are using Twenty Ten as your template, you can go to the Appearance Section and click on Header and the upload the new header. It must me the same size as the original as well…or you will have to edit the functions.php for the size you want…then …that means you probably should create a child theme because it will be overwritten when the theme is updated.
