[Plugin: YD FeedWordPress Content Filter] Backlink in Footer

It’s of course absolutely not true that there is no option to remove it. Just go to the plugin’s settings and tick the checkbox to remove the link.

You can see that right away if you go to the plugin’s option, which is what users usually do right after installing.

The link will be removed by default in future version anyway.

I am using version 0.2.0, downloaded from WordPress, and there is no options page at all. There isn’t even a link to a settings page. I have installed it on two sites and get the same results.

While i was using your plugin i did think it was great, however i no longer use it and have it disabled.

I too have never seen a option to disable the link, and feel it’s wrong to continue backlinking for something i no longer use, and is also not cool that the link remains after the plugin is disabled.

While I have hidden it with CSS, please can you tell me where you have injected the link code within my core WordPress build so that I may clean it up and remove the reference. It adds as another unneccesary process and I’d like to keep things clean.

There is NO WAY the link can stay there if the plugin is disabled.

Either the plugin is NOT disabled, either you’re seeing a cached page, or that link has nothing to do with my plugin. The link inserted by my plugin just can’t be there anymore if the plugin is not active.

I don’t use any unfair or uncool trick, that would be totally out of the way for me.

Please check again.

When you install the plugin, it also installs 2 additional plugins – called ‘content filters’? You need to deactivate and delete these plugins and it will remove the link from your website ??

@aberrantvenus: I don’t know what you are referring to, but this is certainly not my YD FeedWordPress Content Filter Plugin.

My plugin does not install anything else, it is a simple single installation / de-installation process, and nothing (no link, no nothing) can stay there once it has been de-activated.

You are probably confusing my plugin with something else?
