get_the_excerpt missing !more tag

Hi!

I’m getting an odd behaviour with the get_the_excerpt function.
I’m using a plugin which uses said function. When displaying the home page, the excerpt displays fine, but on some other pages, get_the_excerpt seems to miss the ‘more’ tag in the post, and does the usual faking (i.e. it takes the first whatever characters from the post).

I’m not sure what might be affecting the function in this other page. Any hints would be much appreciated.
