Nested Category Depth Photo Gallery

I am looking for a photo gallery that displays categories as square thumbnails with title text and with the ability to have multiple levels of category depth with watermark capability.

It has been a long time since I have used NextGEN and see it has some of this ability but have not been able to make it function similar to that of what Gallery2 once did when it was integrated. Gallery 2 is no longer functioning properly or has a lifespan. And Gallery 3 has yet to evolve.

Is there anyway to get NextGEN to work this way? Or is there some other plugin that will work in this manner?
