• Hi everybody! I have installed WordPress latest version locally using WAMP package to try out many options. It works fine if the Permalinks are chosen the default option. I have installed some plugins that require Permalinks to be changed from the default option to some other. But I am getting a 404 Error page if I change persmalinks. So I have rolled back it. Please advise me how to rectify this issue locally.

    Thanks,
    Siva.

  • Ensure that mod_rewrite is running.

In Apache modules, you can find an option called “rewrite_module”, just tick it to enable. If still not working, try to restart your wamp server.
