Putting post in ascending order with latest post first

Good morning. First topic ever.

I tried searching through the forum and couldn’t find an answer to this question.

I have my website set to show one post at a time on the main page.

I want the latest post to be the latest “page” of the book.

However, the wp paging plugin i’m using calls the latest page 1 and the oldest page 4, even though it’s the other way around.

Any theories on how to fix this?

Putting it in ascending order didn’t work because it just made the first page of the book show first, instead of the latest page.
