[Plugin: Simple Facebook Connect] Upcoming Event widget problem

  • I’ve got SFC installed and the Upcoming Event widget in the sidebar. It displays the date of the upcoming event (only one available right now) but no link, title, or other information. It just says “March 17 – “. I’ve made sure all the event fields on Facebook are filled in. It’s obviously pulling from the right fan page or it wouldn’t have the date. I’m stumped. Help?

    Accidentally discovered that the widget only works if you’re currently logged into Facebook in the browser you’re viewing the site on. Is there any way around that? It doesn’t make much sense to simply display an empty widget if the user isn’t logged in. I can see showing the events and forcing FB login to get details of the FB site.

    This is my problem too! I am using the plugin to show the FB fans and encourage people to click to like the fb page. If they aren’t aware of the page, this plugin won’t work for me…
