• I have created a static website that I had help with now, I don’t know much about coding. I uploaded a theme from the web and now the problem is the h1 and h2 codes for my post aren’t working properly when I try to publish them. The color codes automatically generated aren’t working nor is the center code.

    Also when I try to rearrange the headlines and take words away everything is staying the same as if I hadn’t changed anything.

    Is there anyone that can make some sense of this problem I am having?

  • switch to twenty ten theme and see if you still have the same problem to rule out theme problem.

    will switching themes ruin the changes I have had done to the theme I have now?

    No there will all be there as is on old theme .
    You can switch themes as they are all independent in their own folder you will be just using a working theme that is default twenty ten theme.

    I just want to say I can change the h1 and h2 on the pages i add.

    post your url and let us know what exactly you trying to do and where as H1 H2 codes are in style.css

    buyersofcharlotte.com/stopforeclosure/bystate.htm is one of the post where i want to add the changes for the two headlines. there are quite a few more posts that I want to change as well.

    oh sorry here are the headlines I want to change

    <h1 style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”color: #993300;”>Stop Foreclosure Fast </span></h1>
    <h1 style=”text-align: center;”><span style=”color: #993300;”>We buy houses</span></h1>
    <h2 style=”text-align: center;”>Sell your over financed house through a new method called the short sale process fast and hassle free to stop foreclosure!</h2>

    You mean title on the page

    Short Sale questions answered for homeowners with the toughest housing problems!

    What is a Short Sale?

    have you tried adding the H1 code in editor as I do not see any thing in style.css
    h1, h2, h3, h4 {
    margin:0;

    have you tried using html tab

    no i haven’t, didn’t know i was supposed too or what to add in the style.css. any advice on what i should add to get this working? also would i have to add code for each post?

    How did you format on your home page as I see this

    <h1 style="text-align: center;">
    <strong>
    <span style="color: rgb(128, 0, 0);">You can sell your Charlot... READ ON to find out how.</span>
    </strong>
    </h1>

    yet you can do it on other pages.

    i used the kitchen sink button and then I selected the colors and headlines 1 and 2. when i published the page there were automatically added, no coding done by me.

    the kitchen, center and headline aren’t working properly in the add new post like they do in the page add new.
