I started using this plugin today and was really excited about all the functionality it has that I had been missing when using another plugin.

But when I went to publish my first article using it, I noticed that all of the images in my WP post were lost upon saving. Looking at the HTML behind the scene the code for my image prior to publishing is this:

    <a href="https://divineknightgaming.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/dark_knight.png"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-60" title="dark_knight" src="https://divineknightgaming.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/dark_knight.png" alt="" width="64" height="64" /></a>

and the code after publishing is changed to this:

    <a href="\"><img class="\&quot;alignnone" title="\&quot;dark_knight\&quot;" src="\" alt="\&quot;\&quot;" width="\&quot;64\&quot;" height="\&quot;64\&quot;" /></a>

Additionally, if the image has a caption, all the code for the cation is lost upon updating.

The images look fine in SMF, minus the captions which don’t carry over.

I really like all the features provided by this plugin and want to use it, but since the blog I am running is for a game studio I need the ability to put images in my WP posts.

I am attempting to try this again and still having the issue.

I am also getting this new problem. When I publish an article I am getting an error in my smf forum:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘st_facebook_hcount’ st_title=’Test’ st_url=’https://divineknightgaming.com/?p=91&#8221; at line 4
    File: /*snip*/forum/Sources/Subs-Post.php
    Line: 1535

    This is new.

I am running WP 3.1 and SMF 1.1.13

    seriously?

i’ll quote this plugin description available on the main page:

WPSMF adds WordPress posts as topics in SimpleMachines Forum 2.x

Well then. That would explain some things. I must have missed that in the description.

I already had plans to upgrade to 2 over the weekend, so I will update this when I do.

    Thanks.

anyway the only thing i’m doing is to copy your WP post and save it as and SMF Thread…is as easy as Copy Paste ??

Ok. So I updated to SMF 2.0 and have run into some new issues. The first one, I think was happening before upgrading but the second one is new.

    1. I have two wordpress categories that will not save a SMF board id. I will enter the board id and save the settings but when I come back to the settings page, they have been cleared again.

    2. Now when I save an article I get the following error:

    An Error Has Occurred!
Wrong value type sent to the database. Integer expected. (id_board)

Update. I figured out what the problem was with #2. I had my board id as 2.0 and it needed to be 2. So that got that fixed. As for #1, I will just have to make due. I am not going to worry about it.

I’m getting an error similar to that except it says (page) instead of (id_board). Can you tell me how you fixed it? Was it in the database or the PHP? I can’t even access the options panel, it keeps giving me that error. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, now I’m worried I magnified the problem.
