    Hi,

since I updated to Podpress 8.8.8.4, I have big trouble with my podpress-feed.

There is a feed for podcasts https://www.nerdtalk.de/feed/podcast and this feed works not in the right way. As you can see, there are some contents in it, but when you visit https://www.nerdtalk.de/category/podcast/ , you’ll see, that there is a new episode of the podcast every week. But the feed shows an episode from 2. December as newest file, after that an episode from 2009.
I’ve compared episode 178 (shown in Feed) with the most current episode 183 (not shown in the feed) and can’t find any differences: Same categories, same host the mp3 rely on, both with no tags.

I could do a downgrade to 8.8.8.3, but I don’t want to sit on an outdated version.

    Thanks in advance.

    Update:

Made downgrade to 8.8.8.3 – same issue.

    Hi,

    thanks for your report!

Please, switch off temporarily the file type filter of the podPress Feed with the Slug Name “podcast”. I guess that you are using this filter.

Unfortunately this filter is case sensitive and lets for instance only files with the file name extension “mp3” through and not files with the file name extension “MP3”.

    I will fix that today.

BTW: these podPress Feeds are working solely on the basis of the podPress attachments and not with the categories of the posts and pages. If you would have a post which is not the category Podcast and you would add a media file with podPress then this post would show up in the podcast feed (if the file tape filter allows it.).

Thank you again for your report!

    Regards,
    Tim

    Hi,

Yeah, you’re right! The feed is correct now.
    Whew, cool!

I even was in the database and looked for differences in wp_posts and wp_postmeta, played around with the caching-plugins and removed all umlauts from the podcast-configuration. No success.
I never thought, that the filter could be case-sensitive.

Well, thanks for your quick reply.

podPress v8.8.8.5 has a patch for this problem (although I have forgotten to mention it in the Changelog.).
