Hi there, a quite basic qs, how do I put content into your modal popup block? When I click + I can’t put e.g. text og paragraph into the block via list view? Actually I’d like to put a form into the block.

Also, the form should be integrated to Mailchimp. I’ve put the API key into your integration and your form recognizes the audience but NOT the fields?

I hope you have a solution.

    Hi @jenzgaard ,

Sorry for any inconvenience with Premium Blocks for Gutenberg.

The modal box should work like any standard Gutenberg area, allowing text, paragraph, or other blocks. I tested it successfully, but there may be a theme or plugin conflict. there might be a conflict with your theme or another plugin. If possible, could you share which theme you’re using? That way, I can try the same scenario on my side and check for any compatibility issues.

For Mailchimp integration, the form fields should sync correctly. Are the default fields (Name, Email) appearing, or is nothing showing? Have you tried reconnecting the API?

Also, do you mean emails are added but other fields aren’t syncing? Let me know which ones are missing, and I’ll investigate further.

    Thanks,

    Appreciate your quick reply.

Re. inner blocks in modal block: The theme is WP 2025 so pretty standard. Re. plugins: disabled many plugins on primary site, no success, then tried your plugin on another site with different and almost no plugins and still no success.

Then tried to group different blocks – all other blocks, standard WP and yours (!) which supported inner blocks but just not the modal one?

Re. Mailchimp: correct, default fields showing. In my MC audience I got first name, surname and mobile no. Double-checked under ‘Audience fields and merge tags’ in MC. Made a new API but no change.

I can give you a login for you to test if you’d like?

    Hello @jenzgaard

Regarding Mailchimp, you can find the field settings in Form Block Options > Mailchimp Settings. This enables you to send the first name, last name, and email to your Mailchimp audience.

I tested the WP 2025 theme with the Modal Box block, and everything worked perfectly. Could you send me a list of the activated plugins along with a screenshot of the system info?

    Thanks,

    • With the default API it recognizes the audiences I have, but apparently not the fields since I also got ‘telephone number’.
    • Also, the fields for name are the same. Shouldn’t they differentiate between first and last name (*|FNAME|* OR *|MERGE1|*)?
    • And shouldn’t the form itself reflect these fields?
    • I’ve also tried with the Custom API dropdown, no difference.

    Hello,

Please select the First Name, Last Name, and Email fields in your Mailchimp settings to apply them to your audience. The Phone Number field isn’t added yet, but we’ll add it to our to-do list for a future update.

For the modal box, please check my screenshot/video, follow the same steps, and share any console errors you find. I tested it on WordPress Beta 6.8, and it’s working fine on my end. Let me know if you notice any issues.

    Thanks,

I guess the API should just extract all available fields for each audience. That would be a major improvement.

Regarding the modal box. Gee, I tried via the list view just to drag blocks into it as you normally can. Apparently that can’t be done but your method of adding via + directly from inside the block did it.

Thx for your help and time ??
