Thanks for getting in touch @mythreeseasons. It sounds like you may have a configuration in your Simple Security Plugin that is impact network requests made to your site from the Site Kit service, in particular with the mention of your WordPress REST API. Site Kit, as other plugins do, depend on your WordPress REST API to pass information.

To determine more on this, please share the following:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Does the same occur if you temporarily deactivate Really Simple Security? If not, we can then review any possible configurations that may be impacting reporting.
    3. Do you see any warnings or errors when checking your Site Health status? (Tools > Site Health > Status), which differs from your Site Health information requested above? Such errors may include REST endpoint references.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your Site Health information @mythreeseasons. I didn’t notice too much from reviewing the details that may be causing this error, but we can perform some additional troubleshooting checks. To start, does the same occur if you temporarily deactivate Really Simple Security?

If the same does occur, please follow the steps below:

    1. Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window.
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“.
    5. Check for the same error when visiting the Site Kit dashboard.

Let me know how you get on with the above, or ask if you have any questions. Thank you.

I’m just following up with you to check whether the error remains? If so please share the information requested above and we can investigate further.
