    Hello,

We’re sorry to hear about the issue you experienced during the API key setup. This problem typically occurs due to hidden whitespace characters that can be accidentally included when copying and pasting the API key. To resolve this:

    1. Try copying and pasting the API key again
    2. Make sure there are no spaces before or after the key when pasted
    3. If the problem persists, we’d be happy to help you personally – please reach out to us through the support forum

We have many users successfully using our plugin, and we’d love to help you get up and running as well. Once your issue is resolved, you may want to consider updating your review.

    Regards.

Hi @smolgiant, another thing to try is to add credits/money to your open AI API account. The key wasn’t working for me either till I topped up my account.

I’m not associated with the dev btw, just started using the plugin a few days ago.

    Hi @st27 ,
Thank you for sharing this valuable insight about the OpenAI API credit requirement. You’re absolutely right – having sufficient credits in the OpenAI account or Google Gemini Account is essential for the API key to work properly.

With our new update released yesterday, we’ve addressed the API key validation issues. The setup wizard now features a “Details” button that shows exactly why an API key might be rejected, whether it’s due to insufficient credits, formatting issues, or other reasons.

We’d love to hear more about your experience with the plugin!

Thanks again for helping out fellow users in the community! ??

    Regards.
