Translation not working

    I am using the English WP version but my site language is German.

    I needed to make some corrections to the translations. So I picked “limit-login-attempts-reloaded-de_DE.po”, made the changes and saved both, .mo and .po into the wp-content / language /plugin – folder.

    But my translation has no effect on the frontend. There is another file “limit-login-attempts-reloaded-de_DE.l10n.php”. Do I have to delete this? How to fix that? Cleared browser cache several times and not using any WP cache.

    Yes, delete limit-login-attempts-reloaded-de_DE.l10n.php (but keep a backup) and see if that helps.

    Yes, then it works but do I get other issues without these file?

    This is a cache file. After you deleted it, there should be a new file generated. In any case, you should not have any issues.
