Please try this version:

Download link: https://github.com/CleanTalk/wordpress-antispam/releases/download/fix-version/cleantalk-spam-protect.zip

1. Go to the WordPress Administrator Panel —> Plugins.
2. Find the plugin “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Deactivate.
3. After the automatic page refresh, find the plugin again “Anti-Spam by CleanTalk” —> Delete. Confirm “Yes, delete these files”.
4. Go to Plugins —> Add New —> Upload Plugin.
5. Download the plugin archive from the link above.
6. Choose the downloaded archive and press “Install Now”.
7. Clear all cache on your site.

We are also experiencing the same kind of issue. In fact, the plugin contributes to the high CPU/RAM usage on our multiple websites.

Is the version of the plugin above a general fix or specific to @janetaylor22’s website only?

I tried to do this and input the access key and got this error

Please find the access key for your site here: https://cleantalk.org/my?cp_mode=antispam

Then paste it into the plugin settings and click Save Changes.

No, that’s what caused the error in the first place. I copied that access key and got that error.

Please do the following:

1. Copy your access key from the Anti-Spam Dashboard: https://cleantalk.org/my?cp_mode=antispam
2. Paste the access key in the key field in the Anti-Spam plugin settings.
3. Click the Save Changes button to save the plugin settings.

Does it work?

As I’ve said, I’ve tried doing that…twice now. See the errors below:

We’ve also noticed high cpu load on multiple sites when the plugin is active – when we deactivate the plugin the websites/server goes back to normal.

When will this updated version be released as an update to version 6.49?

It would be great if you could install the fix version to one of your sites and give us feedback.
