I’ve just dumped my commercial themes and have vowed to figure out twenty twenty-five. I’m doing OK, but can’t seem to figure out how to get post excerpts to display in my Blog Home Template (which is my default home page at the moment). If you scroll down to the “Crowdstrike Outage “Not What You Thought” post, it’s displaying the whole post. I have some long posts and only want to display the excerpt on this template. I’ve checked Excerpt under Settings -> For each post in a feed, include, but this doesn’t seem to have an effect.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,
I’am newbie in WordPress and Twenty Twenty five but i think you need to edit the template itself not the Page in Appearence\editor\Templates\select “Blog home” and “Edit” on 3 dots.
After you need to expend the list view on left en replace the block “Content” with the excerpt block.
You can revert back to default configuration by doing restore in Appearence\editor\Templates\ but can’t copy it or i don’t know how.

    regards

    Happy to help !
It took me the last week-end to understand that but i doesn’t really know when we need to edit the template itself or the page, and the priority between both…

    Hi
The setting you mentioned, Settings -> For each post in a feed, include, is for the RSS feed. Not for the posts that are displayed.
