Multiple test cards declined

  • Hi,

    Diners Club, Discover and BCcard and DinaCard test cards declined during a test purchase on my website. The other cards I’ve tried so far worked perfectly. I have also tested the Diners Club cards on your test website, and worked perfectly there.

    I made the same test with WooPayments and got the same cards declined.

    In my Stripe account (Settings/payment methods/Cards) I see this:

    About this payment method
    Accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, JCB, and China UnionPay payments from customers worldwide.


    Could you please help me on why I can not accept payments with these cards? My website is based in Hungary. I don’t see an indication on the Stripe website that these cards shouldn’t be working from here.

    Hi @dbognar

    It sounds like your account may have a limitation on the card networks you can process payments in. I recommend you reach out to support.stripe.com and show them the log entries.

    This would not be a plugin issue since declines come directly from Stripe’s API. You can find the log entries by going to the stripe.com > developers > logs page.
