• I posted a question about earlier to get help on plugin problems. I posted again later on with almost the same question, but slightly different because I thought it might help explain the situation and everyone knows how well buried forum posts get attention.

I got the post deleted with explanation at first by esmi and then when I put it back up again it got taken down because esmi said I was reposting. At least it would be nice if they said something the first time about it why it was taken down instead of getting a non explanatory email pointing to my original post. Maybe your psychic, but I’m not.

How hard would it have been to just say “This is considered a repost, sorry.” After this fiasco, I think I’ll either stick with SMF or go elsewhere. At least at SMF they’re friendly. I’ll make sure to pass the word around.

    Thanks for……well…..nothing.

  • Three topics in 8 hours on the same topic is a little excessive, don’t you think? Two were posted within less than 1 hour of each other. Duplicated topics like this waste people’s time. It’s also extremely annoying to answer a question at great length only to find that some one else has provided exactly the same answer in an identical topic by the same poster elsewhere.

The replies you received were merely copies of the note I left for other admins/moderators should they ever need to audit a post’s deletion.

The second post was 8 hours from the first one and that got deleted without explanation. Since I had no idea why it disappeared, I reposted it. And since I wasn’t sure if I was in the right section, I also posted it in the Plug In section.

All it would have took was, “Yep, we seen your post, we can’t help right now and please don’t repost.” But what I got was an unexplained disappearance of my post.

Like I said, I’m not psychic. And I also have to say nicely done on trying to make yourself feel less guiltier. Here……I know how to say it. I’m sorry. See? Isn’t that easy?

I think you’re reading more into it than might actually exist. It’s just obvious that you didn’t get a chance to view the rules and guidelines yet. Sorry you feel that way. Just a misunderstanding, I’m sure. Since you are new, perhaps take a look at some general forum rules, and see if there is anything in there that might help to explain anything. ie… “bumping” “where did my post go” etc…

    I hope something there helps.

If you want to call it bumping, fine. The second post had some different information from the first post that I thought might help. But since it got deleted, no one will know what was in it.

Tell you what….. I really don’t care anymore. If this is the way WordPress rolls, that’s good. Because it seems everyone puts a lot more effort into arguing with me than helping me solve the problem. And that’s not what I’m looking for in blog publishing tool.

    you had your say….moving on
