• Hi all,

in order to clean my galleries because I imported 20times the same folder and got 20×20 Pictures and generations of thumbnails of thumbnails of thumpnails … — die the following:

    • Deactivate Nextgen Gallery
    • Delete Nextgen Gallery
    • and because the database tables wp_ngg_pictures, wp_ngg_album and wp_ngg_gallery still appeared I deleted the tables using sql DROP TABLE wp_ngg_… etc.

Afterwards I reinstalled and reactivated nextgen gallery, but the tables wp_ngg_pictures, wp_ngg_album and wp_ngg_gallery don’t come up. Trying to import some folders as galleries, nextgen gallery does not find any picture.

How can I solve the problem?

  • Hi @aaa1898,

    Sorry for the trouble,

The issue arises because NextGEN Gallery is not able to function properly without its database tables. The tables were dropped manually and didn’t created automatically even after reinstalling the plugin.

To fix the issue, could you please find the ngg_options key in the wp_options table and delete the ngg_options row. Once done, reactivate the NextGEN Gallery plugin, which will trigger its installation routine, recreating the necessary database tables.

I hope this helps! Could you please let me know if you have any questions?

    Thanks!
