• i’m not a rocket scientist but i just cant’ figure this out! i was getting help from a fantastic person who i think is offline
my darksky theme at https://www.blogs4food.com is not letting the featured 5 top stories show a thumbnail. yet they said it looks like it should be allowing it.

i created a field called thumbnail header and used this below they told me to use. i saved it and i still cant’ see a picture next to the text in the top scrolling feature section. please help.

can anyone please help me? i still cannot figure this out. i’m doing everything the forums are telling me and still seeing no photo

    – select your a Category(slider category) as featured category in DarkSky theme options page.
    – create a custom field called “thumbnail” in the post you want to feature and post a link to 318×215 image.

it means, while you are adding a post in your featured category, create a Custom Field with the name thumbnail. write the image url in Value part of the Custom Field.

slider does not get the image from the content of the post. you need to create a Custom Field.

    you’ve done all this?

what did you put into the created custom field ‘thumbnail’ for each of your featured posts?
have you tried to use the full path (something like https://absoluteurl/image.jpg) to the image in the custom field?

i did everything but the image resizze. i’m trying to do it now under the image gallery and it’s not letting me make it 318 by 215 and 215 by 318. it keeps changing one of the numbers when i punch in the other one. no idea how to make it exactly that size. i can’t believe it’s not already built in. i’m just a little newer than i though at this.

but i know how to create the field, and then put the value in as the link to the picture. i just can’t make the picture size the size u r requesting.
