Free version is useless

It seems you haven’t read the description or the multiple warnings provided in Media Cleaner.

Unfortunately, all we can do is warn users before they use it. If you’re using a gallery plugin that isn’t supported in the free version, Media Cleaner won’t be able to detect those images. It’s not because we don’t want to support it; it’s because additional development is required.

You might not realize this, but we need to analyze every single plugin and all their image-related features to ensure compatibility. Many users who understand the effort involved and recognize how much Media Cleaner already supports really appreciate the plugin. However, if this isn’t clear, it might seem like we’ve done a poor job, leading to comments like the absolute feature remark you mentioned. The reality, however, is quite different. You’ll realize that you will not find any other plugin that does as well as Media Cleaner, even in its free version.

It would also help if you had checked the description, support threads, and, more importantly, shared which gallery plugin you’re using here.

Seams you have not read my comment carefully!
I do not have the expectation that it works with the images in Modula gallery but at least with the once in the core WP … your plugin did not even set a single image to be “used” and this is why I call it useless.
I do consider it a waste of time if one want to use it in the free version.

If you would have read my comment carefully you should by aware of the fact that Media Cleaner in fact did not flag a single (NOT ONE!) image as being used. Means it dos NOT work perfectly with the core WP! Unless we have a different understanding of the word “perfect”

Again, I am sorry, but based on what you wrote here, at the beginning:

Out of 700 image files 700 where marked as unused? That it wont work with gallery images which are only attached trough a plugin is one thing but that it even marks futured images as unused is a testament of absolute failure!

It’s unclear to me if you are using a plugin or not, I am also not sure what you mean by futured. And also, like I said: Of course, you are welcome to find issues and participate in the Support Threads.

I have no interest in winning an argument here; I am only trying to understand, to be helpful, and to push the plugin forward. Cheers.

Okay you earned yourself a star here (for engagement) – I just hope you are so persistent when it comes to help people as you are when your code is criticized.
The problem and my opinion stays the same – the free version would have had deleted every single image and that is not “perfect” at all!
