I’m using Woo + Stripe Tax to sell tickets to a live event in Florida. How can I set it so that I calculate taxes for Florida, regardless of where the buyer lives?

For example, someone buys a ticket through WooCommerce who lives in California, they would need to pay Florida taxes since they are attending the event live in Florida.

    Hi @tcconway,

To ensure taxes are always calculated for Florida, where the live event takes place, regardless of the buyer’s location, follow these steps:

    1. Set a Default Tax Location:
      • Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax and enable taxes if they’re not already active.
      • Under “Calculate tax based on,” choose Shop base address to ensure taxes are calculated based on your store’s address.
      • Optionally, uncheck “Enable tax rates and calculations based on customer location” if you want to apply a flat tax rate.
      • Make sure your store address in WooCommerce is set to Florida.
    2. Define a Tax Class for Florida:
      • In the Tax tab, create a new tax rate specifically for Florida. This ensures the correct tax rate is applied based on your store’s location.
