settings you uploaded are not for the current theme

  • I’m getting this error when I try to import settings into my child theme:

    Error importing settings! The settings you uploaded are not for the current theme.

    The parent theme is twentytwentyfive and the child theme is baja. The export file is named twentytwentyfive-export.dat. Do I need to rename the export file? Something else?

    It’s a strange error message, as it goes without saying that the settings one wishes to import are not for the current theme. If they were, there would be no need to import them.

    Hi @webcomm,

    Are you using two different sites here or just trying to import the parent settings into the child theme?

    Is the child theme a custom child theme or one available on the repo (I was unable to find it on the repo).
