[Plugin: SEO Ultimate] Strangeness with Meta Descriptions

  • i had installed the most recent version of SEO Ultimate and started using it. I absolutely love it and have it on 5 other sites right now.

    It was on this site first (https://urbanlandcompany.com/site).

    I had the All In One SEO plugin installed and active when I first installed SEO Ultimate and activated.

    I have since removed All in One SEO as its not needed with SEO ultimate in place.

    However on this website ONLY i cannot edit/maintain the Meta Descriptions on Pages from the Meta Description Module within SEO Ultimate. It only shows me the Homepage/Default and the Blog Index Meta Description. I’d like to (like in the rest of my SEO Ultimate sites) manage all the Meta Desc. on a Page by Page basis.

    Is this because i had All in One SEO and then removed it AFTER installing SEO Ultimate?

    I didn’t want to go back and re-install, etc. because I didn’t know what effect this would have on my all saved settings.

    Hi ejossely,

    I want to make sure I understand the problem you’re having — is it that the “Post”/”Page”/”Media” tabs aren’t appearing on the “Meta Description” module of your first site?

    (By the way, you can also edit meta descriptions by going to the “Pages” or “Posts” section, editing a post/page, and then entering the meta description in the “SEO Settings” box.)

    Yes your explanation is correct.
    I can only see Blog Default Description and Homepagea Meta Description in the SEO Plugin Meta Description area of the plugin.

    The only reason i’m asking is because it works and shows ALL current pages in that area on the other sites i have it installed on.

    I’m an aggressive, very active SEO consultant and i try to manage it all globally from that area so i can see the entire site’s pages and descriptions at once. I’m real careful on weighting and balancing.

    Any insight is helpful.
