Custom Socials Icons

I’m trying to add a few custom socials icons. I tried to follow these directions (https://presscustomizr.com/snippet/add-new-custom-socials-icons/), but the information seems to be out of date, and the code for v3.5+ is missing. Is there a way to do this easily?
