  • The first may be coming from:
    Design > Customizer > WooCommerce > Kasse
Put your own text in the last field.

WooCommerce correctly translates the button text to German with a default setup. Try going to the list of pages, Checkout page. In the block editor, look at the Place Order button. Its likely that the default text has been changed to Buy Now. If so, just edit the text to your words.

        Hi @stringaball

Thank you for reaching out! I understand how having a consistent language experience on your website is important.

Based on what I see, it looks like the theme’s template files might be affecting the translation on the checkout page. In cases like this, I’d usually recommend using a plugin like ‘Loco Translate‘ to furnish the specific strings that remain in English. It’s the easiest and most efficient way to manage and ensure all parts of your site are fully translated.

Also, what @lorro said is correct, you can edit it using the block editor as well.

        Hope this helps.

        Hi @lorro,

it worked for the checkboxes, but not for the button… when i go into the editor, i do not have the abillity to change any name.

Here you can see on the left side its already showing the button in german…

but here on the right side where the button actually appears does not show anything..

        Hi @reynierc,
does it work with wpml as well?

        Hi @stringaball ,

Thank you for reaching out! I understand you’re looking to change the “Buy Now” text so it displays in German. WPML provides functionality to translate or modify any text on your site, regardless of the language. This guide might help you navigate the process: Finding Strings That Don’t Appear on the String Translation Page.

If you find WPML a bit complicated, you can also use the Loco Translate plugin to easily modify strings directly from your WordPress dashboard.

        I hope this helps!
